The products with RiSE’s quality are focused on software reengineering (LiFT), search and retrieval of assets (BART), components management (CORE) and software product lines (ToolDAy). These tools are solutions to obtain productivity increase through reuse based on the company’s maturity level related to its software development activities (processes), its practices (methods, techniques and tools) and its business area.
BART - Basic Asset Retrieval Tool. A tool to search and retrieve assets produced during the software development life cycle. The tool aids the team in the search for reusable assets – ranging from technical proposals to source code – reducing the problem of repetitive effort due to not disseminating (sharing) the knowledge (documents, templates, source code) among distinct teams.
CORE - Component Repository. The repository is the tool that allows the company to store, in a secure and structured way, its reusable assets, with metrics extraction and management reports which support the monitoring of the reuse levels in the company. The CORE with control and metrics extraction is completely compatible with the software reuse necessities from the Mps.Br - Program for the Brazilian Software Processes Improvement.
LIFT - Legacy Information Retrieval Tool. Tool for supporting reengineering with activities for knowledge retrieval and legacy code understanding. The current version focuses systems developed in Natural/Adabas.
ToolDAy - Tool for Domain Analysis. A Domain analysis tool which aids in the software product line development.
