Vice President of Intuit visits RiSE
During the week of the 3rd Workshop to Introduce Reuse in Enterprises (WIRE), the Vice President of Intuit, U.S., Jan Bosch, visited RiSE and C.E.S.A.R.
The visit started at the C.E.S.A.R office, there, Jan had the opportunity to know the institute, its business model and some start-up companies. Next, Jan had meetings with Eduardo Cruz, business manager at RiSE, and Silvio Meira, chief scientist at C.E.S.A.R. Eduardo Almeida, scientist at RiSE and head of the RiSE Labs also participated during the meeting. Finally, Jan attendant for a workshop with members from RiSE and RiSE Labs discussing several aspects of software reuse.
After the meeting, Jan was impressed with the results achieved by RiSE in the reuse area and highlighted the opportunity for new businesses in the area.
